St. Augustine, the nation's oldest city, also holds the distinction of being one of the nation's most charming. Known as the "Ancient City," Saint Augustine is located between North East and Central East Florida.

Convenient to Jacksonville (1/2 hr), Daytona (1 hr) and Orlando(2 hrs).

St. Augustine is a simply magical place. Its rich history and small town feel make this paradise one of the most appealing places to live in America. From wandering the winding streets of the historic district and dining at one of St. Augustine`s many fine restaurants to spending a relaxing day in the sun on Anastasia Island, St. Augustine has something to offer everyone.

For the history buff, there is a wealth of knowledge and tradition in St. Augustine. Even before 1513 when Ponce De Leon discovered the Fountain of Youth and claimed it for Spain there were large complex societies of Native Americans living in the St. John`s River area. Transport yourself to their world by taking an afternoon hike through nearby Favor-Dykes State Park and you will see many large mounds of oyster shells called midden. These are actually the remnants of long gone civilizations.

Enter into a time warp when you step into the famous Spanish fort De Castillo De San Marco and see how people lived once upon a time. Walk the cobblestoned shopping district of St. George Street and explore St. Augustine`s many exciting museums including the Lightner Museum, the Spanish Quarter Museum, the Old Jail and the Old Florida Museum.

If history is not your cup of tea, then there is plenty of relaxing to go around. Miles and miles of beautiful beaches offer recreation opportunities in abundance . Drive yourself to a spot on the beach on Anastasia Island State Park and picnic the day away in the sun. There are miles of rivers for the recreational boater or jet skier, just be careful to watch out for the gentle giant, the manatee.

For the more active types, St. Augustine offers some of the best fishing on the East Coast. Its large roster of charter boats for both intracoastal and deep sea fishing provides anglers many options for catching the "Big One."

Just off I-95 the World Golf Village is a golfer`s paradise. This masterpiece contains a 75,000 sq. ft. World Golf Hall of Fame, a 300-seat IMAX Theater, a 31,000 sq. ft. PGA Tour Stop shopping mecca, several hotels, a conference center, restaurants, shops and, of course, championship caliber golf courses. This exciting addition to St. Johns County has something for everyone, from retail to golf to upscale community living.

St. Augustine has been honored as one of the 100 Best Small

Art Towns in America. With art galleries, fine dining, rich history,

education and beach recreation, St. Augustine has it all!
